I was born in Mill Valley, CA but have lived most of my life in WA. I have always cared for animals since a very young age. Over the years my list includes dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, geese, ducks, hamsters, gerbils, rats, fish and a walking stick. After pursuing several degrees in video editing, graphics and media, I took a path toward animal care. Several years ago I completed a technical degree as a Vet Assistant. My internships were spent at local vet clinics and I volunteered for several years working in the area of behavior and socialization –for cats with Purrfect Pals and dogs with the humane society. I spent almost two years at a canine training-day-care facility learning positive reinforcement techniques and worked with dogs that had specific problems such as aggression and resource guarding. For several years I was on the dog care team of Puget Sound Puppers while I am trying to establish my pet care service in my home area of North Bend.
I have lived in the North Bend for about twenty years. I have worked in many areas over the years while my children were growing- as a teacher, consultant, business owner. When I went away on vacation I always worried about our pets–who would care for them? where? would they be reliable? You worry because your pets are your family members and you want nothing to happen to them. Several years ago I decided to join Brandon in his Pet Care business. He has years of experience in pet care and a great educational background. He shares a similar pet care philosophy as I do..to treat the pets in your care as you would your own. I have years of personal pet experience and as a Level 4 volunteer in Dog behavior and Socialization at the Humane society. I am a licensed massage therapist and have studied and practiced animal massage. I find pet care most rewarding and look forward to working with your pet family.
